Items
accepted for consignment sales:
Due to limited space, we do
have some restrictions on what types
of items will be accepted for
consignment sales. At this time,
only the items listed below will be
accepted. Each book will be reviewed
by an LRM associate to evaluate the
condition and salability of the
item.
-
Materials
should be gently-used and in
good salable condition; free of
markings and damage
-
Materials
should be current editions of
student workbooks, textbooks,
teacher editions, test books,
answer keys, and solution
manuals
-
VHS
Tapes, DVDs & CDs will only
be accented if they are
specifically required by a
curriculum
LRM
Reserves the right to refuse
an item for any reason.
How
it works
Options
1: Selling for credit
-
Your
gently used curriculum will be
priced at 50% of the current
retail price.
-
You
will receive a credit for 60% of
this adjusted selling price.
-
Credit
can be used to purchase used
curriculum in our consignment
area only.
-
Your
credit will be available as soon
as your items are processed.
Because each item you submit
must be reviewed and processed
into our database, your
consignment credit may not be
available immediately upon
submission of materials. We will
do everything we can to process
your consignment items as
quickly as possible. however,
please allow up to one week for
processing
-
By
submitting your items for Consignment
Sales for Credit you
relinquish ownership of them.
LRM will not be able to track
your items once they have been
entered into our database and
cannot be requested to return
the items to you.
Example
of selling for credit:
If
the retail price of a workbook s
$10, the used selling price would be
$5 and you would earn $3 in credit
to use towards purchasing other used
curriculum.
Option
2: Selling for cash
-
Your
gently used curriculum will be
priced at 50% of the current
retail price or less at your
discretion.
-
You
will receive payment for 50% of
this adjusted selling price, once
the item has sold.
-
Sales
will be monitored and checks
will be issued and mailed
quarterly. Checks will not be
issued for amounts less than
$25. If you wish to collect on
your consignment sales that
total less than $25 you may
receive a cash payment when you
visit the LRM Resource Center
between 8:30 & 4:0 Monday
through Friday.
-
You
will be contacted regarding any
items that do not sell within 6
months. After being contacted,
you unsold items will be
available for pick-up for 30
days. Any items that are not
claimed within 30 days of being
contacted will be considered
abandoned and be placed on our
free shelf. LRM cannot be held
responsible if your contact
information changes after the
time your consignment form is
completed without notification.
-
If
at any time you wish to reclaim
items, you may request items be
returned to you with advance
notice only if the items
have not been sold. You
must pick up your items at the
LRM Resource Center.
Example
of selling for cash:
If
the retail price of a workbook is
$10, the used selling price would be
$5 and you would collect $2.50 in
cash - or by check when combined
with other sold items totaling $25
or more - once the item has sold.
This
policy is subject to change with
notice.
